Wow, that was the most oddest rumor I've ever heard here! The only new west coast DCI flying is going to be LAX-SAN in February by OO. DCI has nothing to do with any of Mesa's other mainline partners' express flying. We did bid for the UA RFP and our bid 15% more expensive than the winning bidders. There is some truth to Piedmont looking into flying out of PHX, when MAG looses their exclusive rights in PHX this year. If Mesa sinks, USAir will look to fill the void with it's w/o's or other regionals. Comair, Mesaba, and Compass are in a difficult position when we bid on other mainline carrier's feed. We're owned by a competing company and we can't offer financial investments to gain(buy)flying.
