He makes a good point, while private student loans can be discharged, federal loans cannot. I find true irony in the Bankruptcy court system, the government allows you to bankrupt (and thus not pay) anyone you want if you qualify for the new stricter chapter 7 rules except for...... The Government (namely student loans and the IRS) even if you're completely broke you will owe them for all eternity, seems kind of hypocritical.
