Lower the block hours for existing pilots....that is how to mitigate furloughs...has been done in the past at other airlines...not at UAL.
Turning off trip trading did NOTHING...it just got turned back on again...
More could have been done. Yes there was going to be furloughs...but Wallick did not come through as he should have. Just a bunch of b/s e-mails sent to everyone....pounding sand, and acting like some "tough guy".
