[QUOTE=fireman0174;732584]You are correct. My mistake. Whiteford gave everything to save the pension..PBS, 70 seat rj's, 29% paycut, LCO work rules, more out of pocket insurance...but it was during Bathurst's regime that the pension termination occured.

Why would he? Slight conflict of interest when your MEC chairman is also on the BOD.
UAL CORP (UAUA:US): Board of Directors - BusinessWeek
UAL CORP (UAUA:US): Board of Directors - BusinessWeek
All UAL MEC's are on the board it's a left over from the ESOP when the pilot group owned a majority share of UAL stock. That policy continues until 2017. After 2017 the MEC is no longer required a seat on the board.
That was some very good investigative work on your part though. Have you ever though of investigating Chemtrails or possibly looking into Bigfoot sightings?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
To answer an earlier question the UAL pilot group is not generally favorable to the new MEC.
