I'm an immigrant from Cuba currently living in Canada since I came 1 year ago. I've been so many times at the air canada web site and a whole bunch of other sites and I've found that AC for example.. only recognizes french as an additional language. So my question is, regardless of whether they accept or no.. would the fact that i speak spanish give me any chance (while working for AC) of flying mainly to spanish speaking countries?

Would there be any advantage for me b/c i speak the language? or am I gonna be given the same chances as everyone else regarding flying to these countries?

Thanks and sorry for my 1 year old english.(I'm still learning)
Bienvenido Martin,

I fly for a US carrier, but I'm in and out of Mexico and I can tell you that Spanish comes in handy when it comes to situational awareness! It won't help you get the job, nor will it pay you an override, but it will come in handy I promise you. Buena Suerte.
