I can't remember what we were paid during training, but I know it was more than $1000. You get a hotel only for the first week if you are assigned CVG. If you are assigned any other base you will have a hotel room for the duration of your training. Which to me makes sense, if you are going to be based there anyway why should they pay for a hotel.
I shouldn't have dropped the "have a pulse" line. The reason I said that was they are having a tough time getting people to show up for class dates.
The interview, i'm sure, is much like any other airline interview. They want to see if you can get along with your crew on a 4 day trip. Personality is a huge part of it. Sure you need aviation knowledge, but they can teach you what you don't know. You can't teach someone to be personable.
