There are tons of managers hired in late 2005 and 2006. Atlanta is always distressed because the airline has new hire managers making near 200k. It makes perfect sense to thin those ranks. However, I think if they lay off all but 80 managers the furlough could be on the horizon. They pulled the plug on the 727, 747, and -8 very quickly so who knows.
