We're definately hiring, but at the moment they want current on qualified on the actual aircraft. Go figure.

Personally, it's no way to hire for the long term as the airline ends up reducing the pool they can choose from considerably. But hey, what do I know.

I doubt Lion will stop for long, if that's what you're interested in. Air Asia is meant to be starting hiring again in a while as well.
