That's great to hear.

There are so many great drivers out there who haven't flown a massive airplane but who are leaps ahead of what's out there for pilots with "current time on type". It's a pitty that some airlines have the blinders on in that regard. They hire so they don't have to type rate, but it ends up costing them in the end anyway. But, I guess it's a way to weed people out, just seams like a bit of a blunt instrument.

Good luck to one and all.

If we don't get planes this summer i will be gone probably around this fall. So i am trying to find out my options. I think i should be able to get to 1500 by the summer. I was afraid that i would be to low of time. If i take a job overseas i would like it to be a decent job not a job like working at colgan or mesa. I also am wondering if i will be able to handle jobs in the middle east, Africa, or the far east because the only place i have been other then the US is Canada so i am worried i might have a culture shock. I might be worrying to much because i am a shelter Midwestern boy.
Dude not to be a Di**, But with 1100tt I dont even think Colgan would hire you. There is just too many people out there with 6 times the amount of time you have that are furloughed.
But good luck

Before everyone gets too excited, the most recent Qatar new hires have experience well in excess of minimum requirements. The experience is also in aircraft larger than RJ's.

Not trying to burst anyone's bubble, just don't want you to get your hopes up.

For those furloughees from legacy carriers who may be considering Qatar, a letter of resignation from your previous carrier is required.
