I have a question for the people who know a little more about the Delta scope clause than I do.

I just heard about the interior mod that is going on and the first thought that popped into my head was that Delta is trying to get around that pesky scope language in the pilot contract. The way I understand it, Delta is already over the max number of 70+ seat aircraft. This mod gets the plane under 70 and would thus get around the language, wouldn't it? Could this be what they are doing?
