Good point. But the reverend basically took over two separate turnkey operations to bring them into "one brand" so to speak that is apart from their regional feed operations.
HK and TSA holdings have yet to accomplish this task. Let alone start their own "brand". BB may have been able to seize an opportunity that may not come about again.

Let's all pretend XJT's branded operation didn't succumb to high fuel prices...but rather it flourished, evolving its markets and growing many to the point where even full 50-seat RJs weren't economical. And XJT ordered 20 of these same airplanes (or E175/190s or whatever).
Would you be championing "the industry is dead" then?
