Stop your bickering. You didn't have any issues accepting their job offer and had you paid attention to those leaving (ie yourself) it was due to attrition. Keep posting tiger Would you have left if you hadn't received an offer at DAL? Doubt it.

I'm not sure what post you are talking about, but I stand by it. Pilots who vote for an involuntary pay cut while under contract are just giving money away. It's idiotic and in the long run will not help the company. The Frontier pilots are the perfect case. They voluntarily took pay concessions thinking when they exited bankruptcy, their pay would come back. Now look at where Frontier is headed. Look at all the major pilots that lost their pensions or had them attacked anyway after pay cuts. Look at the Air Wisconsin and Comair pilots that took pay cuts. Taking a pay cut while under contract just puts more money in the CEO's pocket.

I went to Chautauqua when the biggest aircraft there was the 50 seat jet. There was one airline, Chautauqua. I upgraded in under two years, flew as captain for just over a year, then quit. I hated the place. It was no better or worse than any other regional. Had I not upgraded in two years, I would have quit. I went there knowing the two year upgrade was going to happen. If I had not been hired at a major, I would have quit anyway to fly for anyone that would hire me. This list would have included Midwest, Jetblue, Gemini, World, Emirates, North American, etc. The place is and was a stepping stone to me. I actually like a lot of the pilots there and have some very close friends that work there, but the place DOES NOT HAVE POTENTIAL to become a career airline. There are way too many captains from the Delta Connection Academy and other pilot mills that already think they've made it. The Midwest pilots are going to try and burn the place down when they get screwed by the arbitrator, and Bedford is getting in way over his head. The majors are not going to renew their contracts while Bedford's trying to compete against United and Southwest in one hub and Airtran, Southwest, and Delta in another hub. Anyone with some common sense can see this plan will not work. Even if the plan does work, the pilots that work there will be displaced about once every 5 years for the rest of their careers the way Bedford opens and closed bases. It truly was a miserable place to work. I know that first-hand.

Lots of name calling and bashing over the last couple of pages. This thread has run its course.
