That happened on occasion, until the
SCAB realized he was doing all the work and the F/O was enjoying the window seat and talking on the radio. Actually, from my experience, most of the
SCABS I've encountered tried
so hard to be "good guys" and "one of the boys", they became
even worse to fly with.
You're right about one thing...almost all were real pieces of work, as pilots and individuals.
