Agreed about grudge holding. For "The Godfather" fans, there's the old Sicilian saying that says "when setting out on the road to revenge, first dig two graves".
While holding a grudge is wrong, letting someone do something unethical is wrong too. If the MEC recognizes it's error and changes course for greater unity, fine. The key question is "how do we know we can trust them again?"
