I'm not a former 111 guy, but funny that you should mention them...I was just at Hickam AFB (Honolulu Int'l) and parked my C-17 near an AUSTRALIAN Air Force F-111. I hadn't seen one in years and thought it was a true blast from the past. The crew bus driver told me that it's wingman had left and that plane remained with an mx problem. Yep, it's a pretty cool looking bird, especially with its wings swept!
