There's no way that I'm going to be flying anything bigger than an E-145 for the foreseeable future with my current company. With 5000 total and 1300 jet PIC and one letter of rec on file how do I bring myself to the attention of HR? I realize people have waited for years to get hired at brown, but really how do your make your app shine with nothing but 4000 hours in an RJ? I really don't think another 1000-2000 hours in the RJ is really going to make me a better candidate tomorrow than I am today. Any suggestions?
Hey Jay,
You have decent time, and a recommendation already. Now it's time to start attending the job fairs where UPS shows up at. Tell them how excited you are about flying for them, and that you're flying as much as you can to make yourself even more competitive. Then get your UPS contact reference to check on your status.
Hope that helps some. Good luck...
