The law is ridiculous and should never be passed.

That being said, pilots can overcome this law with a campaign in confusion.

Basically, conversation will become meaningless in any investigation because of this. Pilots will say random things on the CVR and no one could ever prove one bit of it to be true or false or use it against anyone.

So if it passes, it will actually be a detriment to safety. Because then, instead of reviewing honest conversation between pilots on the flight deck prior to an incident, you could have mindless banter that may or may not be valid information and could be pilots talking about crazy stuff just to entertain those listening. That is what will happen.
