Would you walk out if the CVR law passes?

Would you walk out if the CVR law passes?
I am wondering how many pilots are really willing to walk out (ie nation wide strike) if S. 3048 passes. Would you walk out? Would VA or SW or other non-union or non-alpa pilots also? Would you stay out till Obama ripped up the bill?

Readers of this thread should concentrate on the bill and the question asked of the OP. Not who will sign it or who proposed it. Keep the political red/blue out of it and focus on the consequences of the bill. Thanks.

That bill was the kind of stuff that union dues are invaluable for. A letter to my senators and congressman gets lose in the noise. Having ALPA/Teamsters/etc write Congress or show up and tell them how the bill is dumb gets much better results.
It's just how Washington works.

The law is ridiculous and should never be passed.
That being said, pilots can overcome this law with a campaign in confusion.
Basically, conversation will become meaningless in any investigation because of this. Pilots will say random things on the CVR and no one could ever prove one bit of it to be true or false or use it against anyone.
So if it passes, it will actually be a detriment to safety. Because then, instead of reviewing honest conversation between pilots on the flight deck prior to an incident, you could have mindless banter that may or may not be valid information and could be pilots talking about crazy stuff just to entertain those listening. That is what will happen.

Now I don’t condone the CVR Bill in way shape or form. Will it pass??? who knows. Will there be a mass Exodus from the airlines if the Bill passes??? highly doubtful.
