*shrug* It's not bluster. I honestly have absolutely no desire whatsoever to spend the next 37 years of my career in a position where my every move is monitored and may be second guessed. If the profession hadn't taken such a huge dive, it's an indignity that perhaps I'd put up with. The way things are now, no way, this is a bridge too far. I'm young enough to learn another career and will happily fly an old Luscombe on the weekends. I understand if others are far enough along in life that they can't afford to quit no matter how much they dislike this bill if it becomes law. But the way I see it, I'm in a position to make a choice, and my choice is no. I do like my job so I sincerely hope it doesn't come to that, and I've written letters and made phone calls because I don't wish to leave the industry.

Now, if ALPA actually does call a nationwide strike over this like they were prepared to do over CVR protections in the 70s, I would hope that EVERYONE here would be prepared to walk. Big difference between deciding not to voluntarily resign and crossing a picket line.
