I use the Clarity Aloft in the jet, but for the piston planes / noisy jets, I still use the Bose X.

Also, I use molded ear pieces (that you can get at a hearing aid store) with the Clarity Aloft TSO'd model. Ditto on the microphone boom. I might support that with a piece of metal attached to it.

Both headsets have their sweet spot. Please don't confuse an ANR headset for a passive one, though.
