There is truly no typical schedule. Some airplanes fly more than others, but even those will have radically changing days. There were some stats taken by the union on how many flight hours and how much duty was average throughout the various fleets. The Xs fly the most hours per duty day- a little over 4 and they have the highest percent of days over 12 hours on duty. The Hawker 400 was the least busy at under 2 hours per day flying and the lowest amount of 12+ hour duty days. There are days that you just airline. There are days that you sit around with a broken airplane. There are days when you fly all day and days you don't leave the hotel.
