Well, that's your opinion but not what an officer, who would be intimately familiar with his performance, said about him under oath:

And when I read this part, I laughed out loud:

Yeah, we just stopped by to see if you needed anything. (Read: they went to the brig to beat the crap out of Abed only to discover that the Master At Arms wasn't a "team player").
