You're going to see a number of the on demand carriers like ACC slowing in the coming months/years. Their primary business is hauling car parts for the just-in-time inventory that various auto mfgs. use. Ford, GM, and Chrysler are cutting jobs and closing plants bigtime. The FBO I used to work for at STL saw a dramatic decline in business from USAJet, Ameristar, ACC and others when Ford closed their plant nearby. We used to see probably 2 dozen Falcons, Lears, Shorts and a handful of DC-9s and 727s every week just for this purpose.
I hope this isn't the case and it turns around. Most of the freightdogs that we dealt with were cool guys. It's a tough job but builds quick hours.
