If for some bizarre reason both bases are available (for my seniority level) I want to ensure I get DTW from the get go. Additionally, I don't want to be responsible for housing while in retaining and not get per diem because I'm 'home-based'.
If you were CVG based before your furlough and you would be recalled
right now, you would actually go to JFK. My guess is DTW will be like JFK and be the junior base. I believe CVG will always be senior. If you really want DTW, you can put it in your standing bid.
People that are getting recalled right now shouldn't even mess with their standing bid, because I believe a lot of current folks want to go back to CVG and you want to get displaced to DTW to get the moving expenses and moving days.
