They were paid and schd for about 70 hrs a month, and over that was overtime. Now they can be schd for 92? 94? hours per month, and over THAT many hours is overtimes, so a big pay cut.
Capts who were leaving (I think 90 day is the min notification time), were being asked to delay their departure. If you delayed your departure, EK was paying them extra money to fly, and where letting them hand-pick their destinations and schedules. So, the Capts leaving were getting something like 1.5x pay, with the very best schedules...no overnights, trips with more turn times, etc.
For the capts that stayed, that means they were getting even WORSE schedules than before!
