As far as commutes go from FL. Maybe picking CVG over DTW because of the competition on the Florida-DTW commutes might not be a bad move. Yes, there are less flights from FL to CVG, but you also have less commuters. Might be something to think about. If you can get Southwest to start DTW-MCO, that would definitely help a lot, they are great to commute on.
Thanks for reminding me, SWA does go MCO-DTW @ 4-5 times a day. Those are thru flights to various cities. Nothing direct, non-stop. I still think commuting from MCO to DTW is easier that to CVG. Lots of choices specially if you consider 2 legs commute. Tons of other possibilities.
