I've really enjoyed it mate. They pay well and on time, but I would keep in mind that our managment is SQ. What goes on at the other contracts I'm not sure. I do know that some people have had trouble, I'd stay well away from anything with HNA, but as far as other big airlines I reckon it's OK.
As mentioned by some others, watch the contracts. They can be changed on a whim at times (though we have had very minute changes and as of late have been given back all of what they took away during the downturn, which, to be fair, was very little. It was handled well by our management in my opinion). There is a punitive culture in China, so FOQA busts (including thing's like long/heavy landings) can cost you money.
Personally I've had a good experience, but I fly, am checked by and managed by expats. What the local managemnt is like I do not know. Could be better, could be worse, but in my case it's been very good.
