It is quite possible that this could be a good thing for Comair. Equally as possible as a negative outcome from Comair being the only remaining wholly owned regional.
Having flexibility in your business model is a good thing so that one can adjust to changing economic/operating environments. Owning Comair gives DL some flexibility in that regard.
Of course that's not necessarily great for Comair, but it does give them some sort of value to DL, which might exclude them from being dismantled. That seems to be an extreme scenario.
