It's good to have something up here on occasion other than the typical shenanigans/speculation/conjecture from the peanut gallery. I think it's no coincidence that, other than Mesa, Pinnacle had the lowest block hour costs of the Delta regionals... and that's who Delta chose to give Mesaba. And I bet TSA is somewhere down there with Pinnacle in terems of block hour costs. One encouraging thing to note is ASA's block hour costs, and they had a buyer in Skywest...? One thing I didn't understand is how she just throws out the value of the 50-seat jets when figuring the $30 million price tag for Comair. Effectively, she says the 50 seaters are worth nothing... only the 70+ seaters have value. The CEO of Pinnacle said in his Q&A on the Mesaba purchase that he is looking to capitalize on the over 500 50 seat leases that expire in the next 5 years. And of course, the ground handling services thing...?

Stirs discussion at least.
