Not trying to overwhelm you, but here's some other things to consider:
- How many years of service do you have? Any promotion boards coming up? Pulling the 7 day option makes you the Wing/CC's #100 of 100 Captains.
- Do you have a guard/reserve job lined up?
- How many gate months do you have (or will you have when you PCS to a non-flying job)? Getting all of your gates now = possibility of finishing a career behind a desk. Sucking up a staff job midcareer = return to fly later and improve your chances of getting hired later.
