Hi!

The majority of US regional pilots fly the the e145. Isn't it over 30tons? Are they going by BOW or MTOW?
Normally, spelling doesn't matter, as long as the reader understands what the writer was thinking. In this case, however, a misspelling made the reader misunderstand the writer.

As I found out, in international ops LOTS of stuff is metric:
It is NOT 30 TONS. It is 30 TONNES.

30 Tonnes = 66,000+ pounds, so all of the ERJ-135/145/CRJ-200 hours do not qualify.

On the other hand, I have read, on a number of posts, that Pinnacle guys have already been hired this year, with small RJ time only.

With reference to DECs (Direct Entry Captains), a number of RJ guys were reported to have been hired as DECs in past years.

I have read 12 months jet current (on the other hand have also read of turboprop-only guys being hired...I think it was large turboprops).
