Yeah, with the 55 tonne limit, a DC-9-34/-40/-50 are all exclueded. Their normal MGTOW is 121,000 lbs, while 55 tonnes is 122,000 lbs. I'm 99% sure that EK did it on purpose to exclude those airframes (and it probably also excludes the 737-200).
