That reply didnt come from AOPA. That is what i got from virtual flight surgeons. The reply i got from the AOPA pretty much said its gunna be an up hill battle, and that i will need a psych eval and neurological report for the brain injury.. They also said to contact them if i need help with anything. And best of all they didnt ask for money...lol. So im guessing AOPA is a much better place to deal with vs virtual flight surgeons..
Double check your math before you commit to anything. The post 9/11 bill will only pay up to X dollars. You'll burn through that at lightning speed at that money pit. Trust me, regardless of whose paying it, you'd be doing yourself a huge favor to shop around first.
On top of that be POSITIVE that you're going to be able to get a 1st class medical before you drop a dime in that place. If you can't get a medical and you blow through all your benefits, it will all be for not.
Go talk to an AME and try and get a 1st class medical. If you get it, AWESOME! If he refers it to Oklahoma City you're going to have to get AOPA in the fight and jump through a lot of hoops. Again, have that in hand before you spend a penny on flight training.
