I am truly sorry to hear about your situation. I certainly mean no disrespect to those seeking a flying job at any airline.

The best tip I can think of on how to get recognized is to have one or more internal recommendations from a fellow pilot who has personal knowledge and experience flying with you. You should give them a PDF version of your most current resume so they can email it directly to a certain female person in the pilot recruiting department of Skywest.

Since this is a public board I don't feel comfortable giving her name. You probably already know who she is though. Her initials are C.E.

(If you get the interview, PAY FOR and get some FRASCA flight training device flight time. You would be surprised at how many candidates can't maintain situational awareness from looking at steam gauges and a jepp approach plate while flying a basic ILS on a FRASCA. Final note, don't forget to ask for the current wx BEFORE you cross the FAF inbound. If you don't have the required visibility prescribed for the approach you are flying, you CANNOT continue the approach. Ceiling is irrelevant. The interviewers will not ask this softball question in the oral, they will be looking for your knowledge, awareness and application of it in the sim evaluation)

At least this was good gouge as of 6 years ago when I interviewed!

Good luck!
