I responded as succinctly as possible to the discussion that was related to the original airline pilot thread and then wrapped it up by focusing exclusively on an internal and very relevant airline pilot issue.

You can't have a thread about a pilot possibly on the verge of maybe losing his career without warranting at least some discussion on what it was that said pilot was accused of and if that justifies losing his career in the first place.

I guess we could grunt instead, like:

pilot busted, weed.

i agree, pot bad.

pot not THAT bad.

what seniority?

But if we're going to talk about it in a forum, which is what this is, I think in the course of discussion and conversation its OK to get a little bit in depth over what it is that we're talking about and that, to the extent here, IMHO is NOT "thread drift" by any stretch of the imagination. It's the whole point of having a forum.
