If you'd like some insight......... You don't have to live in the "Qs" (dorms) but if you're easily distracted and want to focus on the job at hand (i.e. getting wings), it's not a bad idea.

Yes, you can live off base if you'd like after UPT as well. The USAF can't make you live on base. You can share your apartment with anyone you'd like. Generally speaking, 3 or 4 Lts in the USAF have more buying power than just one. Plus, you can have some pretty good parties.
