You do realize the ones whom created regionals are the ones whom you are flying with and gave up scope for extra money into a 401k, pay scales etc? Moreover the ones getting let go from Comair are the ones whom are not the ones whom you want to point the blame at. Those pilots will still be at Comair, still in the Captain seat, and still making a living.... While those whom hit the street are the ones whom came into the industry in which was structured in a way due to Mainline pilots giving scope up and allowing it to form into what it is today? You would have done the same darn thing if things were different when you started. Get angry at the right people. Dont take this time to punch those in the gut that had no control over what you mentioned......
