JB tookrrrrrjiiirrbs...he was placed here to tear OH down and close it up. The same guy that replaced the mechanics at NWA when they went on strike. For those that think its just a "scare tactic" for contract negotiations....good luck with that. The end is near, and it's a lot nearer for some of us....the ones that just came back after a year and a half.

I just wish someone around here would be honest with people, in a timely manner.
Examples?
1.Had a job making twice as much as here (non-flying). Got recalled. OH called and asked if I'd be coming back. I asked where my base would be (I would not have come back if it was CVG). Guy says JFK...I say ok.
Get to class, still no mention of closing JFK. Middle of ground school "Oh, by the way....DTW"
Commute becomes a pain (DTW is a pain from FL). Start looking at homes in MI. Other people already relocate to MI. Start planning a move to MI.
Around 2am 8/31, read EPIC, free breakfast and lunch to welcome us to DTW. Alright! Free food during my RR on 9/1. Get to DTW for RR....oh, by the way....you'll most likely be furloughed in the 2nd quarter of 2011....but hey, enjoy the bagels!

2. Comair closes JFK base, stating "DAL only wants NY service in aircraft with a first class cabin.
Pinnacle moving into our old JFK OPS as a CRJ200 BASE!!!! Their 900's will stay based in ATL.
Ask management why we moved out, they say "1st class...blah blah blah"

3. Comair says "DAL does not want inefficient 50 seaters. We will get rid of them." YET, Pinnacle adding 160 pilots by years end...to fly CRJ200s!

In almost 4 years, I have heard nothing from this management besides "We cost too much." "We pay pilots too much." "We pay FAs too much." "We can't compete with Pinnacle or ASA."
Never have I heard a good thing from them...like "We are going to grow." or "We are going to exchange our older planes for new ones."

Just look at the Pilot Agreement....it too has lies in it (E170 Pay Scale???)....they never ever planned on getting those planes, they just said it to keep us happy!
