What you're doing is staying current...getting transferable heavy experience, at a time when thousands of other guys are wishing they had something...anything. I know it's not pretty; circaidian rhythm destroying, barely above unemployment wages, and family life limiting, but the flip side is that there are others who understand the value of what you have. If you were sitting at home unemployed for a number of months it might put a different perspective on things. This is not meant as a criticism...nor justification for poor wages given the skill required. Just encouragement to enjoy what you have as much as is possible under the circumstances.
EXACTLY....18 months out now.... thanks captfurlough for saying what many of us feel.... and for all the employed whiners and complainers... I will trade positions right now.
