As a Delta pilot, and someone who would be working with these individuals, I'd rather the company hire the most competent pilots available nationwide.
You see Delta needs to screen for the best possible candidates...Pilots that know how to land on Taxiway Mike and overfly MSP by several hundred miles...Not just anyone can do that....
