Interesting "corporate culture" behind SBP, too. For whatever reason, USA and USAF folks seem more inclined to take SBP, USN not so much.
I'm retired USN and declined it. Carry other types of life insurance plus the federal LTC coverage. SBP just seemed too expensive for what it provided. But, each situation is different.
