With the new procedure when you get your INITIAL Awabs data you have to be stopped to enter the numbers BUT if you send an update via ACARS for, say, a runway change, you can enter those numbers while taxiing.............doesn't make a whole lot of sense but okay............

I hope we all strictly comply to the beacon policy on the day this turns on and let the desk dwellers eat their words in a ridiculous manner that is commensurate to the stupidity of this procedure. I really don't think they understand the amount of beacons that turn on every day to show an on-time out vs. actual push time.
