I will comply with the new procedure and let the chips fall where they may......... But I do want to get something straight and please correct me if I'm wrong. With the new procedure when you get your INITIAL Awabs data you have to be stopped to enter the numbers BUT if you send an update via ACARS for, say, a runway change, you can enter those numbers while taxiing.............doesn't make a whole lot of sense but okay............

This is correct, Denny.


I hope we all strictly comply to the beacon policy on the day this turns on and let the desk dwellers eat their words in a ridiculous manner that is commensurate to the stupidity of this procedure. I really don't think they understand the amount of beacons that turn on every day to show an on-time out vs. actual push time.
