WDR after pushback procedure (DAL/NWA)

Just watched the video and I have to agree that this is not the most optimal way to do stuff. It will get us off the gate and improve D-0 which is what they are trying to do, but it places us in the position of doing more when we need to be doing less. If 100% of us stick to the procedure of not calling for taxi until we have the performance checklist complete, this won't last long. Ramp and Ground are gonna love us when this starts up!

I disagree that this will help D-0. How often are you late because the AWABS was late? I can't remember the last time I was waiting on the numbers. We are making a huge change to fix a problem on less than 1% of flights.

I guess your right because everyone "gets" an out time as soon as the door is shut then we sit and wait for the numbers. If we all did it the way we are suppose to and wait to get that out time until we are cleared to push then it would help D-0.

Once again it seems like procedures are tailored to the widebody fleets... I'm busier than a one armed paper hanger during the pushback in the 88!
At least I'll be getting paid to enter the numbers now.

Getting your #s on taxi out is an awesome deal... you get too pull over and say "we're waiting on the numbers..." AND you get paid for it! What's the rush? Fuel savings.... AGAIN???

Just watched the WDR......A couple thoughts!!
1. After swing gear on the 88 for the past 1.5 years, I do miss how easy that 75/6 after start procedure was!!!
2. Im always an optimist, but this new procedure is doomed!! Never work in ATL. Ramp will always want us to get movin and input numbers off their ramp. Ground is gonna get ****ed at us when each wave of Delta planes come out of the ramp and then request to stop.
I understand the beacon is on and we are getting paid, but as highly educated pilots, we cant stand stupidity!!!

Make sure you get online and fill out LOSA surveys about the new procedure if you don't like it! - It is one of the few ways they will actually hear our opinions. That said, seems like if they are trying to save 2 minutes, why not have the baggage/cargo finalized two minutes earlier!
