January 1998 it became a domicile. Before that it was always a fast growing gateway. ONT flys most of the west coast domestic trips, HNL, and Asia trips as far west as CGN Germany. Rarely does an ONT crew do a north atlantic crossing. Kinda a senior base for Captains.
