I agree it is a lot of money T. I do not know what the 1600 per month for the car pays. I am not sure if it is just for the lease, or if it includes the gas, and or mileage, insurance, parking on the street in DC, parking at said residence, maintenance etc. Until I know that, I do not know if it is crazy. On the surface it sounds like a ton of money for a car in DC, but the devil is in the details.

As for the housing, the same thing may be true. 7K as you state, but does it include taxes if the house is bought, electricity, other utilities, insurance, payments for rented furniture etc. I too wold like to know what it entails, and I will ask when I get a chance.
Just the simple fact that you even TRY to defend this makes me livid. Can I get alpa to pay for my crashpad if I "volunteer"? Mine is only $250/month. It IS a ton of money... why can't you see that? And WHY does the president of the association rate that? Isn't he a line pilot "volunteer" like the rest of us? Stupid me.... It's attitudes like yours that make me want to go fill out a card....
