The reason for my post was a simple one. To get some answers from our union reps. Our MEC is too busy getting LOA's for everything under the sun EXCEPT a grievance policy!
i.e. We had a Capt. in the hospital on an overnight, he called the company to inform them of the issue. He was suspended for not flying the trip in the morning!
Folks these ridiculous stories go on and on...... Our MEC is always trying to back-door a deal with management on these issues. I applaud them for their efforts, but we need a LEGAL way to handle this.
A grievance policy was recently approved and should be announced soon.
