For California drivers, a firm called Auto Insurance Specialists shops various insurers annually for the best rate for their customers. Not sure what you have available where you live. https://www.aisinsurance.com/aishome.aspx
BTW, I got a '03 Eclipse Spyder with 24K miles on it in '04 for $16K. With my time bomb of a trade-in worth $8K it was an easy sell for them. I'll be keeping it for a long time, but I've got my eye on an Infiniti G35 coupe next. Hopefully they're still around in 6-8 years.
My dad does trust me, and I obviously would pay the bill. With some luck I wouldn't get in trouble. I live in California so I will take your advice on that website, and will try to shop around. The thing is that I don't have thousands saved in the bank, I want to continue going to college, try and work 40 hrs. Make a thousand a month, I dont' have to worry about college tuition, except for books. That leaves me with a thousand dollars a month. Five houndred go to my aviation saving account, and the other five houndred would go for expenses and a car. Right now I ride the bus and it's hell, epecially at night when you pass through the bad part of town and some of those luantics get on and start talking to themselves.
