That is part of the Problem, if you de-cerfity ALPA, then you need to be ready to take over day one. ALPA is not going to provide you services while you get your house in order.

It will be a big thing to drop in the "new union's lap" overnight and I would want to see a VERY detailed plan to assume new duties and cover ALL of the myriad and useful things the current union does. How will we pay the staff (especially all the specialists that DALPA has retained on their own)? What is the planned budget?
You will not see a card from me unless I am fully convinced that DALPA has not made the changes that are promised from all the recently elected reps AND the "alternative" has shown that they are prepared to step in and be
fully functional on Day 1 for the
same cost or less than what I am currently paying.
