Considering the history of aviation and how some of the biggest most powerful airlines have failed and an even bigger percentage of the small ones have, there is a decent chance that we all will at some point be part of a defunct or bought out in bankruptcy airline. Ask a TWA or Pan AM pilot how they thought their futures looked back in their heydays and I'm sure it would have sounded really similar to what a Delta or SWA pilot would be saying today. Not saying there is anything wrong with those airlines just saying I agree that there is no true security in this industry, not just RAH but anywhere.

As for the SLI. I don't really care anymore. It's out of my hands and whatever happens my QOL will still be garbage and my pay will still be crap. I'll still have 12 days off a month and I'll still be topped out at $37 an hour. As people leave for the Majors the only movement will be Midwest and Lynx furloughs that decide to come back and will be placed on top of me and I will be stuck in the bottom 20% for the foreseeable future. But I don't care. Life isn't fair and none of us deserve anything. If we hate it so much then we should go do something else.

Also for those worried about losing your Airbus seat and being thrown into a 145 I wouldn't worry too much. It takes an act of god to get BB and pals to pay for any unnecessary training. They'd rather park the entire fleet and shut the company down before they pay for some kind of system rebid.
